It’s not without trials and hard work though. We take the entire northern herd from their corral to the beach, the dunes provide hard terrain and lots of opportunities for ponies to slip out between the cowboys. We got over the dunes and began heading down the Oceanside towards the southern corral. A foal would jump out here and there, foal #9 jumped out and really gave the cowboys all he had. The group of outriders spent hours trying to catch him and bring him back they eventually roped him and got him into a trailer as we were finishing up. Mollys Rosebud’s foal decided to make a break for it and was captured to have a little ride in the Polaris free of confusion. All the ponies made the walk without any injuries or illness. Everyone was reunited in the corral. A few hours later someone alerted the cowboys taking hay that a mare Bella was giving birth to foal #88 in the corral. Thankfully we were there incase anything happened and were able to get them to a quieter place for bonding and nursing. Another beautiful ride!
